The stove feels sturdy and good quality; the cast iron grates and metal (rather than plastic) stove knobs add to this. My only complaint in the few weeks using it is that I wish there were 25-degree increments in the oven temperature dial.

The oven is 50° to cold, even after I adjust the knob allt the way.
And the burners have only two settings low or all the way up
The flame doesn't change as you turn the knob until you get to the other end.

This is an upgrade from our last GE that died after 15 years or so. It works well. Cleaning it is so easy. The stove bakes beautifully. And cooking on the stovetop is a breeze. Highly recommended. Yes, the bottom draw is flimsy, as stated in other reviews. Has an oven light but no clock. Still, I'd order it again.

My old gas range needed to be replaced as the manufacturer no longer offered parts for repair. I ordered this GE gas range and it's a nice little stove. Oddly enough, it takes a bit longer for water to boil compared to my old ranger, but it gets the job done. I like the self-cleaning feature (haven't used it yet) that was lacking on my older range. I took one star off for cleaning: this range is not smudge-proof. fingerprints and other smudges can be difficult to clean on the stove top. Using a small amount of cleaner and water seems to do the trick but takes a bit of time to remove the smudges and the first couple of times you're left with streaks that eventually fade, but you have to really clean the top to get it shiny.

The range and oven is great. The oven heats up so quickly and is a simple, not over complicated design. The range has all different burner sizes which is great for when you need something hot or want to simmer soup for a bit.

If you are over 50-don't get this feature. If you cook holiday dinners featuring roasted meat-don't buy this feature. Cleaning even one turkey's worth of grease off this oven is almost impossible! Vinegar and baking soda helpful-now moving to ammonia for the oven.

Perfecr for our cabin. Set up was straightforward and didn't have much trouble converting it over to propane. Love the burner combinations and the two piece grates make for increased functional surface and easy clean up.

It's not perfect but it's perfect for what we need. We did have a slightly bent dial (the one for the largest burner) but thankfully it still works. It's just a little tight when turning.
My biggest complaint is the the front metal part, where are the dials are and the oven light switch, gets INSANELY hot when you are using the oven and will definitely cause burns of you accidentally touch it for longer than a second. Not good with little kids around.
But all in all, this is 1000 times better than the oven we had before.

I don't know why it is so difficult to find a good 24" range. That being said, although lacking many modern conveniences (digital clock and timer, auto-cleaning, convection), this is by far the best 24" gas range that we have found, and far superior to the popular 24" brand that it replaced. Unlike that model. this GE's oven preheats much faster than anything we've ever owned, no matter the size, and it can fit a full half-sheet pan. The burners have good power and adjustability, permitting fast boil and a very good simmer, and the stovetop can fit four full-sized pans at the same time. It's very well designed! HOWEVER, we are very disappointed that the oven temperature is not accurate. Even after making the full adjustments possible behind the knob, as detailed in the instructions, a precise digital thermometer and evidence from bakes reveal that the temperature it is still 15 - 20 degrees cooler than the setting indicates. Other reviews make clear that this is, unfortunately, a common problem. It's a shame that GE cannot get it fixed in production. Other than the inaccurate oven temp, which is no small thing, we really love this gas range.

Not happy with new stove. The drawer is flimsy, the leveling legs are flimsy and cheap, and the oven igniter stopped working after 2 weeks and had to be replaced. Should have bought different stove.

Nice looking range. Burners are great. Oven was off by 50 degrees. I read this in many reviews and sure enough it's true. There is a small adjustment on the back of the oven knob but it's not enough. I had to actually modify the knob so I could adjust it farther. GE needs to correct this discrepancy

When I first got this range I was very excited. It was the size I needed, and had a beautiful finish. I was actually unsold this model by the salesman at PC Richards as a higher quality product. Once installed I was disappointed to learn that the bottom that could have easily have been a broiler is merely a drawer- something I can't get much use from but also now can't broil eggplants or corn. The back panel, which I though was integrated into the unit is a flimsy piece that bolts onto the back. I added a magnetic shelf on top of it that I'm afraid to touch since the back panel wiggles when pushed. And the cooking surface, so beautiful at first, scorch/tarnished on the burner caps immediately, discoloring them even when scrubbed of all surface dirt. The grates are a beautiful heavy cast iron, but the finish means they can't be wiped clean with paper towels and cleaning solution, but they are too big to fit in the sink. And the range surface has 4 small rubber buttons to prevent the grills from scratching the cooktop surface, but that makes it difficult to clean the whole surface again. Gives nooks for grease and char to collect that is very difficult to clean. So the pluses are the 4 different size burners, the well lit and spacious oven, and so far excellent gas dispersement on the stovetop. I would not recommend this unit in the future though.

Had for a few weeks. We had to calibrate temperature, as it was 40 degrees off the desired temperature. Followed instructions, easy procedure. Temperature is off 10/20 degrees. No stove keep perfect temperature. For small stave has ample cooking inside and on top of stove. Overall pleased with purchase.

I tried some other small size units and this one is by FAR the best. It has an oven that ignites automatically (with a light to signal it is on) and the stove top grid is aesthetically pleasing as well.
