installation was easy....but would have been really nice if I could have used the existing mounting bracket and holes. New mounting bracket and holes in the cabinet to mount the microwave to were required.

I would give this 5 stars if the operations were better thought out. Express should have a couple of "seconds" times (30, 15 seconds). Takes more button pushes than our previous GE unit.

From day one this microwave made a slight clicking noise & loud rumble noise when I would start it. Had it checked out after a few months but technician said nothing wrong. Then, just a few days ago hit 'Start" and it just clicked off. No light, no fan, nothing. Technician will be out to check it out but this is very disappointing at this time of year, especially. And the microwave is just over the one year warranty, that is a real dissatisfier.

Although it is easy to use, there are many options for cooking by weight and time, express cooking or selecting time and power options. I don't cook full meals in a microwave so I am happy to be able to reheat leftovers, heat liquids and defrost. This microwave has all the features I was looking for including an option to turn off the turntable to fit a large cooking vessel. Very similiar to the model I had for 26 years with a few more features and I expect I will have to be careful cleaning the outside so I don't scratch it as lots of black plastic that shows scratches, the only default I can find.

We bought this unit to replace another GE Microwave which had the handle break off. The replacement handle and its mounting hardware costs almost as much as this new unit. The new unit plastic overlay is already de-laminating over the the cancel/off button. Otherwise, it does a yeoman job

I bought this as a replacement for the one that came original with my home when I built it. The other one got so loud I couldn't stand it anymore. This one is quieter (for now) and it heats better than the old ones. The exhaust fan is also much quieter. If I had the money I would have bought a better model but this one is good for now.

When my last microwave died,( it was over 10 years old) and it was a GE, I decided to stay with a good product. My prior microwave had a shelf... this one does not. But to be honest, I rarely used the shelf. The only thing I miss is the timer setting for the surface light. I used it as a nite lite ....on at dusk off at dawn. This new unit doesn't give me the option.

I've only used the microwave for about a month, so far so good. It does seem to heat things quicker than with the last microwave I had, which was a Samsung. The Samsung only lasted about 6 years. I know I'll not buy another one of those. The GE brand came recommended to me by Flick Brothers Electric in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The only thing that I'm not happy with is the instruction manual which is very limited, therefore I feel that I'm not using the microwave to the best of its ability

The door loud when opening and closing. If you open the microwave before the time ends, the light on the microwave continues to blink and give notice, it is so annoying, never ending. Cannot read the buttons, too dark. Another annoying feature, you have to press 3 different buttons to turn it on. Another annoying thing is the clock light is too bright. You can't read the numbers on the microwave, but the clock is too bright. I am rating it a 3 because I think they are all the same. The microwave works fine, like any other microwave, but the technology gets more and more annoying.
